Chrosziel Matte Box for Scarlet

I have a Chrosziel matte box that I have used with my dvx100. It is the DV Sunshade 4x4 No.: 440-03.

I am planing to get a Scarlet at some point and then just use the dvx100 for run and gun stuff. I am trying to figure out if that matte box might work with the Scarlet. I guess the question is if the matte box is wide enough for the HD lens? And perhaps the chip size matters?

If it will not work with the Scarlet then I will sell it and get an appropriate box sometime after getting the Scarlet.

Any opinions on if the 440-03 will work with the Scarlet would be appreciated.

Jarred said a while back that Scarlet's front lens element would be 77mm in size.

I don't know if the Fixed-lens Scarlet changed since then.

Yes, the fixed lens.

Well Chrosziel has adapter rings that work with 77mm, so the matte box would fit if the lens size is still 77mm. Thanks for that information.

Am I right in wondering if the matte box itself might not be seen if the lens is too wide?

I guess I will just hang on to the matte box and find out. It is a nice piece of equipment that I don't want to have to buy again.
