Does Red use different hole spacing for 1/4in and 3/8 inch holes? I'm designing some parts and recently noticed a slight difference. I believe standard is 9mm for 1/4 inch center to center and 25mm center to center for 3/8inch, is that correct? I'm having a surprisingly hard time finding documentation of the variances between that and Red.

A quick look at some W00den Camera stuff and their usual spacing is multiples of 9mm centre to centre for both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 holes, and they started off making stuff to go with Red cameras, but Element Technica stuff had their 3/8"-16 holes at 25mm spacing.

I believe 3/8"-16 holes at 25mm spacing allows for adjacent 3/8"-16 holes. But alternating 3/8"-16 holes with 1/4"-20 holes allows the tighter 9mm spacing.

now being in a real world situation, i know exactly what i would want.
id like a small plate that just screws into the back holes on the top of the camera and makes that into a 4-6 hole situation, maybe some side holes like the WC easy riser plate has, that also saves the camera body from constant screwing and unscrewing. i need to talk to someone about this.
