Looking for some advice/tips/recommendations for cost conscious but effective checksum software.

Previously transferred everything via drag and drop (OSX) and not experienced any problems but as we are headed into a slightly heavier load would prefer the security of checksum.

I understand R3D Data Manager has been rolled into DoubleData which we have been trying out . Unfortunately while testing DoubleData we encountered a very high crash rate, most of the time without the ability to send a crash report. Have read elsewhere on the forum talks of crashing with RAID configurations and slower transfer rates. The slower transfer rates are not an issue but our hard-drives are configured in a RAID format.
Have tried chatting with DoubleData directly, as it seems like the better option, but unfortunately the few crash reports we have submitted can't be linked back to us, communication has gone cold and we are still in need of something reliable.

SuperDuper has been one suggestion but any others are more than welcome.

have a look at this software : CopyVerified. MD5, up to 4 destinations, more important things, FREE.

If you want the advance one, with lot of features, have a look Silverstack from Pomfort.

Danu,

Have run Copy Verified over the last week or so, does exactly what it needs to and nothing more. No crashing. No hanging.

Much appreciated.

Jonathan,

Thanks to Dustin Cross for creating the Apps for us.

One thing for safety, Visual Checking is A MUST !!!
