Cheapest Way to Power EPIC

I am going to power my camera with REDVOLT XLs and the dual battery module but since those are months away, what is the cheapest option to power my epic right now.

Im thinking either some sort of 4 pin XLR block batteries or

the ET 19mm speedy clamp plate with these http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/381930-REG/IDX_E_7S_E_7S_Endura_Lithium_Ion_V_Mount.html super lightweight batteries

Opinions?

(The RED backpack looks awesome, but way too pricy)

I think I found a solution http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/242075-REG/IDX_C_EB_XLR_C_EBXLR_V_Mount_Plate_with.html and http://www.red.com/store/cables/product/4-pin-xlr-to-6-pin-power-cable-30 is about 1/2 the price of the ET plate. I can use the plate on a monitor later and the cable is always great to have around for productions that use block batteries.

Yes, I am really trying to save a few $100 here and there so I can invest in some better glass and avoid using any type of loan.

try to get someone with exactly the same setup to see how it worked for them, as you wouldn't want to end with power spikes.
