Not sure where to post this, but passing it on in case it helps someone. Dragon update is just under $10,000, which as far as I recall is the limit for most gold/platinum credit cards to double the US manufacturers warranty. I believe most credit cards double the warranty, as Red only gives a 90 day warranty an extra 90 days is ok but not great. Today I was on the phone with Chase about another matter and they told me that in November Chase changed the coverage such that they now don't double, they ADD ONE Year to a manufacturers warranty of three years or less. (My card is a Chase ink business card). I have asked Chase to mail me out full details (which I won't receive for 2 more weeks). No idea if any other cards also will do 1 year or if some other clause excludes Dragon update, but am passing this on in case it is of use.
