  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Blinking RED then ORANGE, whatsit mean? there is nothing about blinking ORANGE and RED in the Battery manual (I can't really tell if it's 500ms or 250ms but I reckon it might be 1/2 seconds each)
 
Sounds like the channel on the charger is busted. If it's out of warranty, you'll have to go 3rd party to get it fixed. I highly recommend the Bebob Rouge 2-channel charger. It's 300 euros, comes with a TWO year warranty and charges Red batteries faster than the Red charger.. I love it .. I also love their badass hot swap adapter..

You should check the "Pins" on the battery charger and female side of the battery. If you suspect a bad male to Female connection, try a small amount of "aluminum wrap" to coat the female cups and allow contact.

Thanks David, I'll give it a whirl when the camera gets back from the job but I'm a bit reluctant to send gear out with ally foil bodge contacts. It will help isolate the problem though.

Yes help you isolate the problem and get you out of a bind...

I'm still looking for the part number for the female "cups" on my battery side as a permanent solution...My female pin battery connection issue may or may not be related to what you are seeing.

ill tell you right now what your problem is..

the chargers pins get push together over time..
you need to look at each individual pin. youll see a "stick" in the middle surrounded by a copper half tube (honestly i dont know what to call these things)
