  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Changing out power chords for wall plug

last time i was down under, i had to get a power transformer... it was somewhere around 200.00... it was heavy..

it reminded me of the old power transitter found in old guitar amps from the 60's.

anyways.... i believe they are running at something like 50 hertz..

I don't have mine on hand, but isn't pretty much anything with a "power brick / AC adapter" universal these days? I've been all over Europe with my gear and all I ever needed was plug converters or different ends for my power bricks. Macbook, several chargers, all worked without problems. Usually it will say something like 50-60hz on the back or 100-240V or something. That means it will work just about anywhere without an expensive transformer. Only thing you really need those for are for AC only appliances like electric razors, hair dryers, etc...

Wall plug for what? The various chargers and power supplies are all multi-voltage and have either a kettle-type plug or a fig-8, just change them out for Aus versions. The REDStation PSU is a plugpack so requires a pin-type adaptor, but is also multivoltage I think. But all the REDStation stuff is bus-powered anyway.
