  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Having issues recording to the CF 8 gig cards. Have tried 4 different RED 8 Gig cards and all yield same results, there's strange color artifacts throughout the recording.

Is my CF Module busted?

I am using Build 16
 
Have you checked the footage backed-up onto a computer or are you watching it playing back on camera? Could just be a playback bug if you're playing it back on camera (I remember seeing weird purplish playback sometimes on earlier builds). Also if your LCD cable is on the blink it can make the image look weird and a bit solarized with weird colours (see if it's playing back with weird colours in the EVF too). Try looking at you material in RedCine or Red Alert and see if the problem persists.

p.s. do you get the same problems with a Red Drive?
 
Sounds like the same problem we had some weeks ago, it was refered to a bad CF Module, got it replaced within a couple of days. It´s easy to install you need to remove 7 screws and two plugs.
