I used the CF cards for the first time so excuse my simple question. The card were formatted in the camera and after recording couldn't be opened in Windows ( I had to use Mac ). (Windows said they need to be formatted.) Is there a setting in the camera to format Win compatibly? Anything else?
Thanks
Andi

To add to above: when I open the files from the CF cards in either Avid MetaFuze or Avid DS they have lost at least some of the metadata. Every clip is wrongly using 2506 Kelvin and -8 tint. This is not how it was recorded.
Thanks
Andi

The camera formats in FAT32, which should be readable by Windows.

Does Mac Disk Utility show how it has been formatted?

Looks like the cards need to be re-partitioned or have their partition map rebuilt. Chances are they have been partitioned and/or formatted on a mac incorrectly at some point and simply re-formatted in camera after that.

In Windows you should be able to fix from the command line using the diskpart utility. Or disk utility in Mac should be able to clean it up as well. Cards should always be formatted on the camera.
