CF Capacity and Shot Length

1. Does anyone know on average how much (in time) footage can fit on an 8GB RED CF Card at 4K 24p 16:9 and at 2K 24p 16:9?

2. How much disk utilization should be considered on the CF cards, ie.. leave 1GB of space for overhead or fill and 8GB card to capacity?

4k is about 2 gigs a minute.


2k is close to half that, u'll get much longer record times on that, don't know the exact number u might just have to run a test on it to see when it rolls out.

2K is more like a quarter. 16-17 minutes of 2K on an 8Gb card
