CCD Gain and Heat

I have a curious question about CCD gain. Does anyone here know if your CCD's become physically hotter when you turn on additional gain?

No. Even your exposure doesn't change when you change the gain setting in the camera. All it does is give you a different look that goes as metadata with your footage.

Sander is right (for most cameras) - typically the amps are not in the CCDs but in the amps behing them.

Ok, Thanks. I wasn't sure if turning on gain would make the sensors hotter. I'm shooting RAW, but not with meta data. My camera is a bit different from Red.
