I came across this light mod of Nikon AF-S ED Zoom Lenses to PL-Mount on ebay! Anyone had any experience with this mod and seller?

Looks pretty good actually. I looks like pl and ef mount without switiching, i like the light design.

On the aperture scale there seems to be one mark less!
Between 2.8 & 32 there should be 6 marks .
Only 5 are seen.

Thats a much cheaper Ruby !!! But I'd still be reluctant to buy without any proper review

Agreed. Just the mount mostly for me to see the lock & if any play. The rest seem like ring mods! Tempted to bite the bullet! Anyone in China willing to test these out? Could be great for those who can't afford real PL glass.

This thread has been dead for a while but I wanted to resurrect it in the hope that somebody might have something new to say about the Catcan Nikon conversions, I have seen no real-world tests or reviews but I am looking for a wide zoom to put on my Gemini. The Nikon 14-24 is a cracking lens for stills and I used one on my F55 for several projects.
All I find out after contact with Catcan is that the conversion is aluminium, the mount is brass and that the finished lens weighs around 1.5 KG. And that he buys a mint used lens for the conversion. I would love to hear something more before sending my cash....
