I'm sorry, but this is the coolest thing I have seen in a while.

Very cool! Autotune has no bounds...

Thank you so much Tom. I loved Carl Sagan work and Stephen Hawking. This was cosmorgasmic!

Pretty funny that we play lotto and think it's realistic we can win in an 100 000 000 chance AND at the same time there are 100 000 000 000 000 000 and more planets in the universe that is similar to earth and we think we are the only life in the universe.... hmmm human brain is overrated. :emote_whack:

That... was... awesome. :)

Love this...I bought "Cosmos" on DVD recently, inspired by tripped-out childhood memories :coolgleamA:

Something tells me Carl Sagan would be suitably satisfied that he'd be sampled and "auto-tuned" by future technology. Things like this make me think I really am living in the future...but then my computer crashes and reality spoils it all

Well Carl was a daily cannabis smoker, so I can pretty much guarantee you that he would love this. :sifone:

Some of those hilarious close-up shots of Sagan gazing off into "space" were actually inserted into COSMOS to make Carl look silly. Sagan got into a legendary beef with COSMOS director Adrian Malone over creative differences, and since Malone somehow had final cut, he used a lot of silly-looking closeups of Carl to get back at him.

But in this video, somehow those closeups only work to make Carl seem more epic.

The Cosmos series made me go blank with awe more than once.

Realizing that all these things are really real.

Sagan was cool, he picked one of our songs for the Golden Record.

The aliens must love it.. :cornut:

Well in a sense, I believe the whole idea for the golden record was his, along with Tim Ferris from Rolling Stone, I think.

One hilarious aspect of that golden record was that the fundamentalists here in America objected to having photos of naked humans on the spacecraft... hahahaa. That is the height of lunacy. Like the aliens are going to be offended by boobs?

I still keep the paperback copy of Contact that my dad used to read to me as a child. The paper smells like...childhood, you know? I just occasionally pick it up and read a page or two.

My parents used to sit me in front of Cosmos to learn about the universe and how the world functions. They also let me watch Terminator when I was years old. Awesome parents...

But I digress. I'm pretty much with Dave on this one.

"Woop". :smilielol5:

A bit inappropriate to make fun of a deceased person`s singing efforts, but I'm sure that Sagan would appreciate it.

He is in the Great Beyond now... probably beholding a nice Galaxy Rise...

BTW, this song really grew on me, I'm listening it almost constantly. Great adaptation.
