Cargo Hold™ cases for your Redmag™ media. Made from high impact polypropylene plastic this case will protect those valuable SSD Drives from damage between the camera and DIT station. Available in 5 colors, the Cargo Hold™ case makes SSD identification quick and easy - red for "exposed" and green for "ready to format". You decide what colors fit your workflow. We are also offering an ESD version with carbon embedded in the plastic. The ESD case comes in black only and provides the most protection against ESD. They are great for those occassions where access to data archiving is limited or non-existent and where a compact & protective storage solution is necessary. These are all Made in U.S.A.

Great, looking nice, i want a few! What would the best way for people in europe to order, without high shipping costs, maybe a europe dealer would be nice?

I will be ordering these as well as the colored ones.

I'll do my best to get in touch with a distributor we work with in Germany and get back to you on the possibility.

Questions from another thread:
Were there any temperature tests done? Inquiry is thinking of the durability of the hinge and flaps in winter conditions.
No temperature tests have been done but I can do some later in the week on the first units. Living hinges are usually rated at 5000 cycles or more. I've seen some last up to a couple hundred thousand cycles. Again, thats something I can easily setup and test this week and get back to you on.

How tight is the seal? Assuming it is not waterproof, but is it water resistant?
The case is similar to what you would get with a compact flash case. The purpose to to give impact protection not environmental protection. There is a lip all around the case to keep a great deal of contamination out but around the clasps there are some openings that had to be in place for the clasps to work properly. If an environmentally sealed enclosure is necessary then you should probably go with one of the several options that are offered by Red in their store.

Gee, I hope you guys don't get sued for making something that fits the contour of one of RED's products...

But in all seriousness, these look great. Thanks guys!

Nice, can't believe it took this long for one of the third parties or red to come out with a single mag case. Thanks! They look great, just ordered 2 of the ESD models, althought the colored ones were tempting ;)

Tyler,

I think you guys will like the new design. We made some tweaks to make it even easier to use i.e. added notches to help improve the stacking of the cases.
