Do you know how much actual rods, rather than cf tubing would cost and what the weights of each are?

Yes I do mean actual carbon fibre rod, compared to carbon fibre tube. The carbon fibre rod should make a 19mm rod stronger than a carbon fibre tube used for the 19mm rod... It does make sense I promise!

they cant, but they can make very thick walls. 4.49mm at the thickest.

Interested... whats the finish going to be like at the ends? Will they be slightly "angled/filed off" like steel rods, or just a flat cut at the end. Are they guaranteed to be exactly 19mm to fit standard UK 19mm accessories and replace red rods etc.

What sort of strain and weight will they take in your estimation?

Those all seem to be in imperial size. That won't work with matteboxes or camera base plates.
