You know your a car guy when you build a car that you don't even drive that is meant to go 1/4 mile at a time.

Awesome photo.

What are you talking about, Jim drives this to work every morning. I hear it rumble past my office every day. I use the flames to warm my coffee, and trim/singe my eyebrows.

I've had many great cars over the years including a 1960 AH Bugeye Sprite, 1969 Olds 442, and a 1980 Jag XJ12L that I was going to put a Getrag 5 speed in, but I moved to St. Thomas instead and bought a 1990 Probe which was much more practical there. My current enjoyment car is a black on black 2002 Corvette C5 Coupe with a 6 speed.

White 911 turbo (my02 996TT)

NO spoilers or tints or francy anything, I even debadged it. Helps me fly a bit under the radar. Slightly modded ;-)

Prizes for correct identification of the above :) Ok, maybe not prizes, but praise.

For work I wallow around in this... which might not seem unusual to most of you, but its literally the only one I've ever seen here in the UK.

i'm definitely a car guy at heart, but never really had any money to buy anything awesome. last few were an '88 pontiac fiero, '91 bmw 318is, '90 mazda miata. currently '01 honda s2000. 9000 rpm redline is incredible. sucks for hauling gear around though

Close, but no cigar... It's a VW, and not that you can tell it has a mid-mounted 2.0 16v driving the rear wheels. Lots of fun.:tongue_smilie:

Any advance on the model though? :)

In the US that would have been an early 1980's Jetta Coupe.

If its not a golf then it must be a very early polo? With a mid mount?
That thing musta been a beast!

my AEV Brute. getting a four wheel camper for it soon

attachment.php

I was living at the east end of Long Island until recently and had 2 older Jeep Wranglers. I had nearly every page of my Jeep Essentials catalog marked with something I was convinced I should have for each one.

The AEV Brute would be great out there. Uncrowded beaches, fishing, surfing and bonfire parties. The AEV pickup would certainly be more practical for hauling stuff than my Wrangler with the back seat taken out. And it looks good too.
