So - I'm doing a multi camera shoot. At it's peak we'll have five or six REDs shooting at one time. each song about 4 minutes long. 2, sometimes 3 takes per song.

We're going to be using cards for most of the cameras because of the skipping via volume issue.

So - this is a lot of footage to load in. I'm used to using one computer with one camera. Having five computers there is a bit excessive on the rental expense.

Does anyone have creative solutions they can offer for this type of situation?

Have you tested in the environment? I shoot music concerts on Red Drives and have never experienced the skipping issue. It would have to get pretty damn loud and boomy to trigger it.

If you are shooting in a typical concert environment, where the volumes aren't out of control, you will probably be fine on drives and that will make your job about 50 million times easier.
