Hi: I am not sure if Cinematography is the correct forum, so bear with me. I have been asked to do a demonstration for a local filmmaking group. Its a show and tell and is purely educational.
I will be demonstrating a lens test projector and a Richter autocollimator. This will be in front of a large group. The projector is an easy one to demo since all can see the projection on a big screen.
However, the autocollimator has an eyepiece, akin to a microscope, where you view the image. There will be too many people to each have an individual look, so I want to display the contents of the eyepiece on a big screen monitor.
I was thinking of something simple like pointing a Canon HV20 into the eyepiece, but it won't focus that close. No macro function.
I am sure there are solutions out there, but I am drawing a blank. Any insight would be appreciated.
FYI, this will be in Wash DC in March. And to make this RED-related, hopefully I will be able to corral some local Scarlets/Epics there as well, to give a complete demo of various lenses on a projector, on a collimator, and finally capturing live images.
Thanks
