The media on my SSD is set for read only in its permissions. I can't load the camera upgrade onto it. Is there something I need to set in the camera to allow for writing when I format? Is there a switch on the reader I'm not seeing? It seems like I can repair the disk with my disc utility and then change permissions, but I was going to wait until I hear from someone.

Thanks,
Mike

This is to do with RED watchdog. It gets set to Read only as default for some reason. Right click on the RED icon, choose preferences, and then change to read/write.

Hi Mike, if you have somewhere on your desktop the RED WATCHDOG, klik on it and put ssd to write and read.
Default is only read to protect you while you make copy's

You can also write to the SSD card or any other drive by logging in to a Mac computer as root user. Bellow is how in enable root user if you have not done so already

Thanks guys. I did not know about red watchdog. All is good.

By the way, does anyone else's red station make a snapping noise when you push a card all the way in? Not a good snapping noise like it clicked into place. One that sounds like something might not be right?

Finally, I've been reading about a lot of issues with build 2.0.5 and 2.0.8. The HDRX one sounds bad. Not sure how common these issues are. Did you all upgrade?
