I can see the R3D file on a PC, but not on my Mac. When I try to open one of the Reference QT files with FCP it tells me I need the R3D file to open it.

Not sure if I am missing something. I installed all the Red plugins, ect... Restarted... And I still can't see the file on my Mac. I was given and according to my PC I have one R3D file and four reference QT files. Am I missing something.

Thanks for your Help!

Yea, they are all in the same folder. Tried Clipfinder and it opens the Ref QT files, but it doesn't appear to be pulling from the R3D file as it just shows a blank screen. According to my PC, this is what I have in the folder.

A003_C047_09176R_001.R3D
A003_C047_09176R_F
A003_C047_09176R_H
A003_C047_09176R_M
A003_C047_09176R_P

My Mac doesn't reveal the R3D file in the folder, nor does it recognize it in FCP.

I was just given these files in a new folder that is not an RDC folder.

Why is it not an RDC? Sounds like the folder structure has been disassembled, this is not good. And when you say 'According to my PC'- I'm confused. Are you opening these on a Mac or a PC?

Noah

Trying to open on a Mac, but they were delivered to me via a PC. I thought the folder structure might have something to do with it.

You need to go back and ask for the entire digital magazine image- that would help a lot. Have you ever successfully opened a RED clip on this mac?

Noah

No, this is the first time for this Mac.

Thanks for your help... Problem solved.
