I am a lover of all things red. They are a company that has changed the way film making is made.. they don't fear the big boys and they produce excellent products.
Like many I have been anxiously awaiting owning a scarlet. The dream of holding an exceptional camera worrying less about the technicalities and concentrating more on the story is every film makers dream ... I shoot documentaries mainly for small charities (..see my link below) and every month I kept saying to myself it's coming

Finally after years of waiting it is here. it is a superb camera... but unfortunately I cannot afford one.. My maximum budget of $10K for everything does not allow it I am truly devastated .
I do not blame Jim, Idon't blame red.. I know that in the back rooms they have been working hard .Whilst I cannot afford a scarlet what they have done for the industry is amazing.. they have pushed hard sweated loads and I applaud them...
My next film is another charity project and sadly will have to look elsewhere... that does not mean I will give up on red. I will keep a close eye on their developments becauseyou know if it comes from red it's going to be superb
