canon zoom fluorite 12-120 t2.2

Howdy,
1st time poster, been watching red avidly since the get go. I used to be a clockwork bolex timelapse person (!) so I have a few c mount lenses knocking about, including the one in the title

Its cosmetically pretty gnarley, but optically it looks OK. Hairline scratch on the front element, but near the edge. Used this lens on S16 quite a lot in college. It was designed for video I believe but optically good enough for film.

I imagine it will work very nicely on the 2/3 scarlet. I was planning to keep hold of it for that reason, but I've just started thinking about selling some gear. Any idea how much it would be worth? I wouldn't even know where to start looking.

Well, if it's good optically, you could definitely get some use out of it if you're going with Scarlet. I have no idea about what it would be worth though.

Last time I saw one for sale it went for about $300 bucks. Not the greatest lens in the world. I'd expect to get about the same as an Ang. 12-120.

If you had said... it was cosmetically in good shape with great optics, it would have been a different story. But hey, if you want to use it go right ahead.
