A question about the kink in the order date vs. delivery date when it comes to the Scarlet Ti Canon Mount cameras. I ordered early on Nov. 3rd but had to wait and watch about 1000 people who ordered AFTER me get their cameras during the 2 months it took for the Canon Ti mounts to catch up.

So even though I did everything in my power to order early and take delivery ASAP... later on when it comes time to upgrade the sensor I will be 1000 back in the line -- AGAIN. And through not fault of my own. That is unless you do make an exception to the old delivery date as your place in line policy.

I'm requesting an adjustment for the Scarlet Ti Mount cameras to be in line for future upgrades by the date ordered -- instead of the delivery date -- since we had no control over the delayed delivery caused by the backordered Ti mounts.

Thank you,

This is my only concern as well...

The "taken delivery" policy worked great for RED ONE, as there were no other models of the camera available. But with Scarlet we have 4 models (if we count the no-mount plain brain only version). Some of the PL mount guys are in the same boat too...

Steve, that's a very valuable point you have there.

I've had the exact same experience you described — watching the announcement live via Twitter, battling with constantly crashing store for the first 25 or so minutes after it went live, ordering ASAP, and then watching hundreds of cameras delivered to PL and Canon Al folks who ordered waaaay after me.

I wasn't aware that the upgrade program is based on this "date of delivery" principle, so it would be really nice if folks at RED listen and change it when the time comes. After all, this one is going to be huge.

I expect Red will be moving toward a first come, first served MO going forward, now that the early adopter gratitude deals are done. Don't sweat your SN for now. We'll see what happens.
