Canon Ti Mount Woes

My Ti Canon mount balks at displaying and controlling the focal distance, though it sometimes displays the focal length, of my Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM and EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II USM lenses. Additionally, it fails to lock the latter, but not the former, with the button. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

Mine works pretty consistently. I have only put the 24-70 on it though. Never had any issues though.

I have not, but I think I remember another thread in the last month stating the same problem. I believe the resolution revealed that the lens was not being properly seated by the operator.

I am confident that that is not the case here. The lock button is quite flabby in its seat.
