  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Canon Ti Mount arrived yesterday

Why in the world does Canon make those telephoto lenses WHITE..everything else here is black..?

So they don't get hot in the sun since they are usually used outside.

Thats a wonderful picture of equipment.

That is... beautiful.

Hey Michael just wondering what the mickey mouse ears looking thing in the middle right is and what the controller, small box with blue sticker on nob is also.

Russ,
that's "german engineering in da house"! The Skater Dolly from P+S Technik and its remote (attachable servos, so you've got speed control and programmable moves). In fact, the Skater Dolly is a tool from the old days (invented when "red" was just the color of the trafficlights, 35mm cameras were the only real cameras and the PALM iphone of these days; was it 2003 or 2004?) - but a keeper! Nice small dolly for various situations. Just bring a board and you have your dolly track.

The lens are white because so many users are sports photographers shooting outside in the sun, the White color makes a huge difference in how much lens heats up under direct sunlight.

go outside on a sunny day with a white shirt and then change to a black shirt you will feel the difference.

Nice camera package Michael. I am also looking for a Canon setup and your pick is a great help, thanks. One question, what are the two white towers under the SSD readers? I am looking for a good offload/copy raid for my package. Thanks in advance.

Hey Michael was good to meet you at IBC.

For those who are interested here is a little update that Ted did with us @ IBC 2011. It includes some footage of him using the new Canon EF mount on the Epic.
