I was just offered this, new in the box for free by a friend. I can't find any info on it. Does anyone know if this lens will be compatible with a FF35 or 2/3 Scarlet. If so, would i need a mount?

EDIT: He also offered this lens

(Im pretty sure posted this in the wrong place, I couldn't find lens discussion.)

I'm wondering about using Canon/Nikon lenses on the 2/3" Scaret. People have said the images will likely be soft... is this substantiated in any way, or is there any way to test the resolution of these lenses for the 2/3" format?

Those lenses are made for sensors with higher resolution than 3k, so I don't see why they would be soft on a Scarlet.

Because you're only using a tiny portion out of the center of the lens, as the 2/3" sensor is muuuuch smaller than the ASP-C or EF sized sensor.
