Need your help !!

I have a great opportunity to get a set of Canon K35 HS Primes 18, 24, 35, 55, 85 for a very attractive price. Downside is, they´re BNCR mount lenses.

I´m seeking for someone, preferably in EU who can convert this lenses to PL mount. Any help would be great. I could go the route of a BNCR Mount on the Red like this one:
http://www.visualproducts.com/storeProductDetail03.asp?productID=1166&Cat=8&Cat2=18&Cat3=26

but i´d prefer to have the lenses as PL Mount.

thanks
Manuel

I've seen one set of these lenses converted to PL and I was told it was a real bitch to do. I believe Optitek did the work but Jacek might not want to do it again! Ask Mr. Duclos if he's willing to take it on.

We have had several sets of Canon K35 lenses in PL mount over the years. So they do exist out there...somewhere. However, many of the Canon K35 lenses were rehoused into BNCR mount. Some of the BNCR K35 lenses were rehoused in a way that we were able to convert them to PL mount. Unfortunately, most of the K35's that we have seen in BNCR mount were rehoused in a way that converting them to PL mount required virtually rehousing the lens again which just wasn't economically feasible. The existence of K35 lenses was one of the main reasons we decided to go ahead and make the BNCR Red mount-- we couldn't change the mounts on the lenses, so we decided to change the mount on the camera.

Hi Rick,

I´m very interessted in your lensmount, but before i go that route, I´ll try if someone is able to convert the K35´s to PL, this would be my prefered choice. I´m in touch with Les Bosher in UK right now. If he won´t do it, i´ll get back to you, Rick.

thanks

Hello Manuel,
I'm currently half way through another set of K35s. This is starting to be fun....
Also, I have available a BNCR mount adapter for Angenieux zooms. I sold a few to Photosonics so they could use Optimo lenses on their HS cameras.
It also works fine on 10:1 HR and 17-102, HP10:1 etc.
It's a very precise stainless steel ground adapter and direct swap on the lens- no refocusing necessary. I thing it could be usefull for camera owners with BNCR primes, so they could rent PL zooms and mount them on their BNC mounted REDs.
regards, Jacek
BTW this is the firs time I hear of my email problems- could you check again and PM me?:construction:

We have a Cooke 20-100 on sale at our website which comes with both a PL mount and a BNCR mount. For anyone buying a set of BNCR mount primes this zoom would make a great addition.
