Can anyone suggest me one that works? I bought some fd lenses and 2 adapters and none works.. one is hollow and just gives a blurry image, the other one is having a lens but it only focuses up to 10 inches...

For RED DSMC1 and DSMC2 cameras, you need to go on eBay and get a dedicated FD mount but if its for Komodo or Raptor, they have mirrorless RF mounts so a basic FD to RF adapter will do. The FD mount is very difficult to adapt but the SIMMOD Lens company sells DIY kits or offers mount conversion services specifically for FD to EF conversion. So far it's just for Canon brand lenses so depending on your lens selection, it can work out great but do keep in mind that it could get expensive depending on how many lenses you have. I have some other brand lenses in FD mount, like a Tokina ATX 300mm 2.8 and a Formula 5 135mm 1.8, but I know that there's no way to convert those as of yet so they're strictly for mirrorless adapter use for now until SIMMOD Lens or somebody else comes up with a solution.

In case you need a basic adapter for Komodo or Raptor, I tend to go with Fotodiox and I always go for the Pro adapters as they are the best made with better materials and more compatibility depending on which lens mount it's for.

Hi Zack, thank you for the information.
I use the Dsmc red dragon the original one.
I will buy the Fotodiox pro with the declicked aperture. Also the SIMMOD. I hope both will focus to infinity.
I bought few fd lenses and I realized niw that there are differences in the mounts of nfd fd etc?

Ok, hold on, read my post again, if you use a DSMC1 Dragon, you need to get an FD mount for your camera, not an adapter.

For SIMMOD Lens, they will sell you either a kit or you send in your lens for conversion so, yes, you should check and make sure whether you have FD or New FD (nFD) lenses, there are different versions of lenses, SSC being the older FD and New FD being the latest versions which tend to be more plastic than metal. Also note, nFD lenses like say the 50mm 1.4, will be exactly the same glass as the older SSC version, the nFD mount is the only technical difference for the most part and certain sought after lenses are only nFD as well in case you’re new to FD lens collecting. So don’t worry about mixing SSC with the nFD lenses, for adapting to video, it won’t matter what the mount is.
