Selling my Canon FD 35-105mm, with some mods performed by Simmod Lens. Mods include EF mount, de-click and dampening, and infinity focus calibration. This lens is in great shape, both exterior and optically. Here is a sample video of some tests I've done recently, includes macro use as well as regular use. Also included photos of the actual lens. Price $500.

I assume this is FF compatible since its FD Glass.
What was your test shot on?
where is lens located?

This is a great lens, for anyone thinking about it. I’ve got a copy and it does cover FF.

Yes it’s a constant 3.5 throughout the zoom range, plus on top of that it doesn’t extend when zooming. That’s actually how I found out about this lens. I was researching zoom lenses that didn’t extend because I wanted to use them with a matte box on rods, and I found this lens and the Tokina 28-70.

@Tommaso, people say this lens is parfocal, but honestly I haven't tested for it or payed attention to that part, since I don't normally use zoom lenses for video in a way where parfocality would be super important. If I was shooting an event, documentary, or maybe a talking head it would make sense, but most of what I shoot involves getting a shot, cutting, setting up next shot, cutting, etc.

I will say, now that you mention it, I think I am going to test it's parfocality and post a video today or tomorrow. It would be interesting to know if it could be used that way.

@Tommaso and Steven, sorry to break it to you guys but unfortunately my copy of this lens is not parfocal. At times, in can appear to exhibit some parfocal traits within 50-105mm, but after a few different tests, I found it to not be parfocal in any reliable sense. I did some research and it appears that for photo lenses, parfocality various from copy to copy, which is probably why some people claim to have a parfocal version of this lens. I am not sure if this is something that can be serviced or not (I feel like it can be), but I doubt anyone looking to buy this lens would do that anyways.

Yeah most of these aren't, I had 3 samples during the years and only one was parfocal.

Also the front rotates when focusing which can be a bummer for polas and some other filters and/or applications but it's a very nice zoom nonetheless!!!

For anyone looking, this is a great lens. I've had versions since high school (dating myself!). Definitely not parfocal by cinema standards but a nice classic look. I have three on hand now, two in EF, and they match well to FD and Leica-R lenses.
