Hey, everybody, so I was looking back at Canon FD lenses again and while I like the set I have built up, I wondered about the missing 24mm 1.4 Aspherical which is still incredibly expensive and sought after. I had recently lucked into rounding off my Rokinon Cine DS set with the 14mm and 24mm and I found them to be pretty nice and useful despite not having as much sharpness as Sigma Art or DZO Arles lenses but I wondered if the 24mm could fit with my FDs or not so, that got me thinking. With all the lens options out there now, new sharp lenses and vintage recreations and all, are there any lenses that can take the place of this legacy Canon FD 24mm lens? What about tossing in a Canon EF 24mm 1.4 instead? Maybe a Nikon? Thoughts?

My current set would be ideal for a rehousing job but I don't have a few key lenses for a full lineup and the rehousing investment is definitely down the road, so they would be used with adapters anyway for the meantime so if there are some nice mix options to get the job done, any advice would be helpful!

I recently used my Canon FD 24 2.0 on the RED Dragon 6K and I loved it.
Wonderful lens. Beautiful camera.
Have fun.
