I know, its probably been a zillion times discussed here before but I can't seem to find much about this, so don't lynch me for asking again. Does anyone know of an alternative Canon EF mount to the BIRGER MOUNT? Also, I think the ALLSTAR mount is great but its only in NIKON I think. Is there ANY other option that is out there for an inexpensive EF mount that is compatible to the RED ONE MX? If not, does anyone have a good condition Birger mount they want to sell?

Please PM me if you have either. I am in the LA area

Thanks,

The Birger is the only smart EF mount for Red One that actually shipped. There were some dumb EF mounts around.

I have the plastic, possibly Delrin, one from Wicked Circuits/Alesniak - the actual mount part is metal - which I could sell you if you really want it! ).
The problem is that you can't control iris with it at all. So you would need a Canon DSLR body with you just to change the aperture every time an adjustment is needed - not a practical solution is most shooting situations!

It could be useful for mounting other lens mount adapters to use other makes of lenses.

Whats your price for this Mount? :)
I have lots of manual ef lenses, so I don't need an iris controll.

Hi Florian.

Only just seen your post. Another two Reduser's are already in line by PMing me. If those sales fall through I'll be in contact.

Thanks
Eric

I have Wicked Circuits dumb mount, its like plasticky And crappy but it does the job. Just watch out when you're mounting and don't screw the screws too much cause your gonna waste it and huh it's damn expensive or I've been robbed

In case anyone is interested, I just posted a Birger in the for sale section.
