Hi, I just sold my Contax 100-300, and got myself the Canon 70-300 F4-5.6 L lens. A little bit more modern optics for filming winter sports etc.
One thing I am noticing is that, if I put the aperture at say F8 at 70mm, then zoom to 300, the aperture changes from F8 to F10 then quickly back to F8 where I had it. When zooming out back to 70mm, it jumps down to F5.7 then back to F8. The F stop goes yellow when going to the alternate number, then back to white at my F stop of choice. Anyone have any idea what is going on? I don't plan to do much zooming with this lens, as it is not the best for that. But I did own the same lens for a few years before I got the contax zoom, and I never experienced this issue.
Thanks
