If Scarlet's price didn't just go up Jim's lost his mind. Sorry to say that but business is business. Here's to hoping Jim has lost him mind anyway!

I think Hollywood could save a lot of expenses if they just shoot all their films under the streetlights next to Vincent LaForets home -.-

[Carey Lee Coffey]

If Scarlet is around 10k, Canon is D.O.A.

[Timothy Jones]

Ok, this footage looks good! http://vimeo.com/laforet/mobius

[Eric Rodemann]

I'm disappointed. Canon makes good products. Everyone uses their lenses. But this camera, especially at the price point, doesn't have anything exciting for me. I'm sure the footage will look nice.

P. Bloom just said the Scarlet is no longer 2/3?

[Stivan Widick]

Scarlet's 4K S35 now. $9750 for the brain with aluminum Canon mount.

[Petr Dvorak]

P. Bloom just said the Scarlet is no longer 2/3?

Mr. Bloom already bought this Scarlet ... which has same sensor like Epic!

[Denizhan Nacar]

At least with a R1 you can do REAL 4K.

Can't agree more...

[Casey Green]

Oh, also... Scarlet begins shipping this month...

Canon's website says this at the bottom of the C300 page in small print:

"*This device has not been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device is not and may not be offered for sale or lease or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained."

Could be a while...
