Something irritating me on my 24-70/v2. Noticed as I'm shooting it more and more I feel like I get a loss of a stop going from 24mm to 70mm (which is a huge pain in the ass correcting for in post as I tend to keep rolling, reframe and just cut in post). Is it just my lens or is that expected from this lens?

I know that that was the case on the 24-105/4 lens but I can't find a single review anywhere complaining about this which has me thinking maybe I need the lens checked out. Thanks

it is about half stop...lots of lenses have it, especially still zoom lenses.

I've noticed this too. I thought I was going crazy.
Is there any data I could look at to understand the better?

I get this too, this is normal for that lens. Also since it's not par-focal you must also refocus after changing focal lengths but such is the world of adapting stills glass.

Thanks for the confirmation guys. Just wanted to know to make sure I didn't have to send it in for repair. Yes just kind of annoying when I have to correct for it every time in Premiere CC on takes where I don't cut between zooms.
