  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This is hard for me to sell since it is by far the best still camera I have ever used. But I have a couple of businesses, and one is designing and building boats and we are starting a new project and need funds.

Will trade for 5D MKIII and cash.

Camera has 2,000 clicks which is nothing on a camera designed for 400,000. New condition and just back from a cleaning, I have a Canon CPS Platinum account so all my gear goes in for cleaning 1/4’ly.

A couple of people have asked if the camera has been used for video. I took a few (4 -6) clips when I first had the camera to see how it worked, but did not us the camera for video For video I use my C300. This camera was used for stills only. I did use the fast frame rate for some action shots and it really is amazing shooting 14fps at full frame.

I purchased a RED One from Paul 4 years ago, and I currently own a 1DX, it by far one of the best cameras I have ever owned, sorry he is having to sell it. It shoots beautiful still, and motion. The camera handles both still and motion much better than a 5D MK3 is every respect. I have shot clean video at ISO 5000, and still I'm amazed.

Thank you for the nice comments. Hope the Red One is paying its way and you are enjoying it. I am in full agreement with you on the 1DX, it is an amazing still camera. But other projects need some funds. Ah, the self employeed. All good though a 5D MKIII will fit the bill for now.

I have shot stills at 5000 ISO and the client could not even tell. 1DX is a world above other still cameras as it should be for the money.

The singer is Lynne Fiddmont, who sings with Natalie Cole. This was one of her own shows at a darkly lit venue in downtown LA. Back in the day when I shot for most of the record labels in LA, a venue like this would have yielded very under lit images, forcing me to pull out a flash (which would have ruined the atmosphere).

Yea, I have never used a camera that even comes close to the still pictures this takes. For me I mostly shoot well lit images but the speed of the camera is what I loved. It is a great deal for anyone willing to make the purchase.
