Cannot unzip Redmote Firmware

Zip file, Redmote_Firmware_v5.0.12 unzips a folder containing a Read_Me file and another Zip file named: redmote.1.bin

redmote.1.bin does not unzip for me… it creates another bin file named: redmote.1.bin.cpgz

that one unzips a file named: redmote.1 2.bin

This pattern repeats ad infinitum…

what am I doing wrong? It's late. I'm tired. Early setup tomorrow and it would be nice to have this working.

Hey Joe, You do not need to unzip the redmote.1.bin You just need to piont the redmote update software to that redmote.1.bin file and start the update process. hope this helps

Also if your trying to update the firmware probably best to attach REDmote to back of EPIC/Scarlet then do it from settings in the brain.

The firmware is loaded with the latest 4.0.10 I believe.

I had a heck of a time figuring that out on my own.
