Was in the focus settings of the menu and hit something and now I cannot bring up the menu with the side handle anymore. I don't have a touch only an HDMI monitor and none of the buttons on the side handle will bring up any menu options or even allow me to record currently. How do I revert back?

Thanks!

My guess is that you set your HDMI monitor as the enhanced auto focus monitor - which means the enhanced auto-focus feature will use that feed internally and you will lose menus on it. That shouldn't keep you from recording though.

To reset, the easiest thing to do is a hard reset of all settings with a long hold on the power button when turning the camera on (hold it until the fans kick in to full speed). This will, however, undo all your settings.

Scott probably has his Monitor Priority set to HDMI, not Touch, so reseting the options might leave him with a clean output to the hdmi(without Menus)

I used to have one of the buttons on the side handle set to cycle priorities for the monitor, so you can get if this does happen you can cycle back to the right monitor output... as if the Touch output is selected as the first one, you can not access the menus.

Maybe someone(I might if you need it) save this configuration with the side handle and email you the presets to load on your camera... not exactly sure if that would work.

The Alternative would be if you know someone with a Red LCD, you can use theirs.

In 5.2 and later the HDMI montor defaults to OVERLAY mode with "Auto-Hide menus" enabled. This means with a reset to factory defaults you can bring up menus on the HDMI by pressing the MENU button on the Side Handle/Switchblade/REDMOTE.

Interesting, guess it was a long time ago when I had to do that... which is the menu button on the Side Handle?
