can you transcode 4k ANA through FCP's log and transfer plugin?

I shot a project this past weekend and the director and I are trying to figure out how to transcode the Anamorphic footage using the FCP L&T plugin as the workflow is just easier for the editor/colorist...

I can't for the life of me figure it out. Is this possible?

Don't know, but doubt it

BUT

I do know how to do it in Red-Cine-X, and will post it if you're interested. The transcodes will be un-squeezed, letterboxed 2.35:1 in a 1920x1080 frame

We're talking anamorphic lenses, right?

Yes to the Anamorphic lenses. They were 25 year old lomos, god they are pretty.

Do you know how to do a batch export using your export settings?

In RCX, in the Framing Control

Set Fit To Fit Width

Set Crop to Center Crop

Set Source Resolution to double the width but the same height as your un-squeezed anamorphic res

Lock Aspect Ratio to 16:9

Hit the "Apply" button

Batch as per your desired export settings
