In the opening title sequence of Great Migrations narrated by Alec Baldwin, I am honored to report that a few SHOT ON RED clips are included.
For me, the inclusion of clips I produced in this Nat Geo special is a boyhood dream come true...and I did it with RED ONE's.

GREAT MIGRATIONS airs consecutive Sundays starting Nov 7th at 8 PM on the National Geographic Channel.

RED segments in the series include Walrus of the Arctic, Salmon Sharks of Alaska and Golden Jellyfish.

Production traveled 450,000 miles on 83 individual
shoots, telling the stories of 20 incredible migrations.
These stories range from Antarctica to the North Pole to the Sahara to the
Grand Tetons. We are all very, very proud of the work. In fact, the head of
National Geographic Channel said, "...it's the best film National
Geographic has ever made."

I watched the Walrus of the Arctic tonight it was great didn't know it was also Red.

Ken,

Always been a fan of your work. That "aqua dolly" looks like an accident waiting to happen. Very creative solution.

Walrus Shot On RED in the Arctic

Walrus Shot On RED in the Arctic

I watched the Walrus of the Arctic tonight it was great didn't know it was also Red.

The Pacific Walrus segment is amazing. It was shot on RED ONEs by Director Adam Ravetch and RED Owner/Shooter Johnny Friday.

It was produced by Ken Corben (DPP) and Sara Robertson of Arctic Bear Productions.
We managed to get Adam Ravetch and Johnny Friday along with their 3 tons of gear and RED ONEs into the remote walrus locations on St Lawrence Island.

I have to say, these nature docs were one of the primary reasons I quit my long-term day job to study documentary-filmmaking and filmmaking in general. I'll probably never end up in this line of work now (nature docs, that is), but I remain a lifelong fan of these documentaries (I remember watching a lot David Attenborough programs and my father had a subscription to Nat Geo magazine).
