Can you keep meta tags when you transcribe ProRes?

I'm transcoding Raw to ProRes now when I'm beginning to work with Davinci.
But one unpleasant surprise is that I'm loosing all meta information. For example I can no longer see the camera name or have the correct "creation date" in FCPX on the ProRes files.

I tried both Davinci and RedcineX.

Is there anyway I can keep some information?

What's in the XML when you export it form the timeline page? For Avid workflows, I export an ALE that gets merged with all the additional metadata. Perhaps the XML can work the same way?

Aha, good idea. I haven't looked into that. I normally avoid the xml since it often creates problems for me.
