  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Can we put force preset files online for download please?

Got the Scarlet yesterday and I couldn't see the menus because I am using an HDMI monitor. Red said they would get the forced_hdmi preset to me right away. I finally got it 4 hours later and that worked :) Then last night I updated to 3.2.8 and now have no monitor again. Emailed/called red and they said they'd send me the forced_hdmi preset for 3.2.8 within 30 mins. That was 2.5 hours ago. Can we just put these 4kb files online somewhere so people can just download them? It'd be so much easier for everyone.
 
Here here... upgraded and no HDMI output now so I have to wait for the force hdmi to finish everything.
 
Can't you just put the .bin file into a force_upgrade folder?
 
I went to a local gear house and borrowed a RED LCD to set mine up, but when I upgrade again I'll be back to square one.

A "blind keystroke" process could be helpful, but could also change between firmwares, should they change menu layouts, etc.
This doesn't seem to be a big issue for most, but for those of us who don't use RED Monitors, this is a huge issue.

Please RED, make the force_HDMI file available online.
