Can we have a new dedicated RAID/Storage forum plz???

All workflows need storage whether PC or MAC or Linux. They're mostly similar apart from formatting of the drives etc. I feel i may be missing out on good info or ideas. It would be great to have a dedicated part of the forum for HDD's, SSD's, RAIDS, NAS, SAN etc.......u get the idea

I would check the forum if it had Hard drives experience, suggestions and helpful input.
Software would be a plus im sure.
Perhaps it could have computer configurations?
Not just hard drives but, graphix cards, I/O cards, computers in all aspects and computer setup with bench mark speed tests.
How RAM helps various programs, how processor speeds benefit various programs, how various programs behave with different configurations.

Im sure it can benefit us all somehow.

4 drives in tower
1.5TB Seagate
and
3 , 2TB Hitachi drives.

FCP Studio 2009 aka 3 Render speeds on ProRes 422 I will have results hopefully one day and other bench test marks.
CS4 Render speeds working from ProRes 422 and R3D i hope to have one day.
Nuke Render speeds working from ProRes 422 and R3D i hope to have one day.
RED Alert Transcoding times I will test one day and give you my results.
RED Rushes Transcoding times I will test one day and give you my results.

I dont have documented results yet and I understand, but I put this up because I would be interested in hearing other peoples results and share the information.

Other computers I will have to do the same for.

I hope to have results on all the programs in the future.

Maybe some of you tech guys can come up with a good standard of comparing results and putting together a Data base once we have compiled enough different computers and speed test results.
