I'm planning to do a shoot with the Epic and an Ultimate Arm. In the past we've always used an Alexa with an RCU-4 remote. This works great because you have total control of the camera via a 50' cable inside the car. Has anyone tried to extend the touchscreen that distance? To have the touchscreen mounted in the car through an extended cable would be fantastic. I spoke to RED and they aren't willing to give wiring diagrams for the cable at this time. From what I understand there are about 18 wires within the cable, don't know how many are active. Thoughts, ideas?

Why do you need a wiring diagram?
Just check if the cable is pin to pin and make your own. Soldering such a high density connector is another story....

im guessing anything more than 10' wont work. I think RED One cables came in up to 10'. a combination of voltage drop for 12V (falls off faster than AC power) and maybe HDMI sometimes dont go 30' without a repeater. that is not to say the monitor uses HDMI in any way, these are just guesses. 50' is a long run and would not work I think.
