I know this may sound like a peculiar question, but please bare with me.

Is it possible to shoot some scenes with the Scarlet, download the SSD card into the PC, put the card back in the camera and format it, then put the card back in the SSD RedMag, download a "selected" R3D shot from the PC "back"onto the card, then after placing the card back in the camera, play the scene on the camera's monitor?

In other words, I want to pull a selected Scarlet clip from the computer, load it into the SSD card, then play that clip on the camera's monitor via the camera itself.

I hope that makes sense, but it's for an effect we are attempting.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

I'm very sure it should work. You can do a lot with the cards. I've even used them as a normal SSD by putting ProRes files on the card from an Avid project to move to another edit bay, then reformatted it when I want to shoot on it again.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Just keep the folder structure consistent and it should load right up!

I apologize for my ignorance, but what do you mean by folders "structure"? Is there something special I need to do when formatting or downloading or what? Please explain.

Thanks Jason.

BTW - I hope your business is prospering.

Take care,

George
