Can I rent a Red with the FD mount?

[Allan Vajda]

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this inquiry, but I was wondering if there is a place where I can rent the Red camera with the FD mount already installed?

I'm in the Southeast, but ave shoots all over.

Thanks!

Allan

What's a FD mount?

ps: ok, wiki is my friend!

Hey Dave,

FD is the old Canon mount, like my old lenses.

Allan, You will need to find someone with either a P&S Technic or MUSE mount. Both of which void the warranty so there aren't that many around.

Thanks Jim....

I guess when the Reds are 1 year old, there won't be a warranty issue.

Hey Dave,

Not necessarily. It also keeps you from being able to trade for an Epic!

Even above the warranty, that is what people should really be worried about... :whistling:

I have the FD mount along with a lot of FD lenses they look great. But I have since moved to Zeiss ZF. PM me. I'd be happy to sell you the adapter and all lenses or consider renting... I'm in Birmingham, AL and Nashville.
