If so, I can't find out how from the manual :(

damn, it would sure be nice if you could, considering cards are still so small.

Thanks

Don't you dare deleting clips in the camera. Haven't you been told that this is not safe thing to do?

Well, you can always format the magazine

Hey Brandon. I agree with you. Shouldn't be that complex to allow users to delete clips while reviewing and would be extremely valuable feature. DSLR's have this functionality and I think most hard-disk and CF based camcorders do as well. Perhaps in a future build?

I agree. When you are doing 50 takes and they blow it in the first 10 seconds, makes for a lot of messing with hundreds of files in post.

I'd even be happy with a three key combo to "cancel" the current record rather than a delete. You know, hold down function key with your nose while pressing two other buttons. That sort of thing.

I had this function on an old NLE (to cancel current digitize) and it was FANTASTIC! Saved 4 steps.

Would eliminate false deletes and give us more control in the field.

My 2¢

1 step. No confirmation. There is nothing wrong with Undo button. Even Windooze has one. Would you like five popups "Are you sure?" each time you press Backspace key on your keyboard?

I'd be happy with that, but most would never go for it.

Too much risk that an intern will push the wrong button and kill your take forever.

Needs to be a bit convoluted. Can easily be one step, but can't be one button. Needs to be a combo.

I can't think of anything worse than not being able to Delete a Bad Clip easily to allow recording a Good One instead.

I can keep interns away from controls on the camera.

I feel the ability to delete a clip is nothing but trouble and definately a feature I dont want available on my camera. Often there are bits of magic on what you think is the "bad take".

Shooting costs a lot of money, CF cards are cheap, keep what you shoot.
