camRade has now also designed a snowcover for the RED. At first we did not believe this was neccesery but we have received a serious amount of requests for this.

If you are interested please contact camRade or a local camRade dealer.

Best regards,

We've been shooting in some pretty cold temps lately, although the camera performed flawlessly we had a problem with the EVF, it started showing sever banding, really severe to the point the DP didn't want to use it for framing anymore, luckily the LCD was fine.

I was worried there might be a problem with my EVF, I borrowed one from someone else, and it showed the same problem. Even when keeping the EVF warm and plugging it in, there was banding right away ; which makes me think it is actually the camera suffering from the cold and sending a weird signal to the EVF.

Anybody else noticed anything similar ? Would the snow coat designed by Camrade resolve this issue ?

Cheers,
Damien

Our demo cover is in Sweden at this moment. I will ask my dealer if he can take some nice pictures.

Like the raincover the snowcover has got separate vieuwfinder protection ( for both vieuwfinders ).

I've had problems with the evf in the cold, especially when first plugged in. It seems to get better as over time as it warms up.
