  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Camera for daily shoots under 2500$

I've had all the smaller cams - GH4, A7S, NX1, etc. My favorite of those would have to the Gh4..even though the DR is HORRIBLE! The ease of use/operation was simple and gives decent 4K footage. Could even bump up the recording bit rate up to 200mb/sec, which gives a very clean 1080 signal. You could also pick up a new Blackmagic Micro Cinema Pocket Camera with the black magic photo assist for well under your $2k budget! Something to think about.

If DR is your priority that would be D750. The price: thin codec, and not the best 1080p due to the way it reads the sensor.

Nah, A7s / BMPCC / BMMCC would be the path to go instead.

Raw workflow is a hassle, but you can go ProRes and still get nearly as good dynamic range.
