Hi all, long time no post. I just recently updated to the latest firmware (6.3.27) and went ahead and began an auto calmap procedure. I've done it 3 times now and continue to receive an error message about 2 passes in. I went ahead and attempted a manual calibrate just to see what happens and it succeeded, however it resulted in extreme vertical lines on the right side of the display, loading the older default CalMap fixes that issue.

I can't figure out what I am doing wrong and am a little dumfounded to be honest, as I've done black shading on both Scarlet and Epic in the past without problem, any thoughts? I have a shoot tomorrow afternoon and would very much prefer to have a new black shade rather than relying on the now out of date one. Any info is welcome, appreciate it as always.

Mhh have you tried to reset the camera completely (wipe camera)? Otherwise it's probably best to file a support ticket. Or for 2mora do manual black shading but do some test shooting to make sure it's ok, it's should just be like being on a DSCM1 body again.

I did a wipe camera. That makes me insanely nervous, tempted to try and wrangle an FS7 or something just in case. I fired off a few shots this morning and I'm not seeing anything terrible about the image. Below are some grabs.

The latest release build is buggy

I got the same issue and the RED let me send it to them. Wipe the camera didn't solve the issue.
