  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Already planning on naming my shiny new Raven, "Poe" (uncreatively after the author of "The Raven", Edgar Allen Poe) and because that's what I am after buying it... Po' :)

I like the name because believe it or not, there are a hell of a lot of RAVENS IN THE HOLLYWOOD HILLS! I'm not just talking about the people either! They are a definite part of the Hollywood bird community here!

It's a great first generation camera idea anyway and the perfect fit for the next generation RED camera, only hoping it will conform well at 4.5K with Scarlet/Epic 5K but the PRO RES alone should make this one the next HOT BUZZ CAMERA!
 
Looks like it's too late. The first OMOD module for Raven is called Poe.
 
Speaking of calling dibs, I call dibs on "Nevermore". :)

Edit: I just realized that "Nevermore" was already mentioned in a previous post. In my initial reading a few days ago, I assumed it was a clever response to the comment of using exclusively girls names, and then promptly forgot about it. Realizing this now, is the name accounted for, or did I miss the boat? (Scott isn't on the preorder list, so I'm hoping it's still up for grabs)

mmmm... It is a kind of poetry I guess. I don't know if you can read the picture but it is brewed by Baltimore Washington Beer Works. You know how business likes to grab on to local icons to make themselves seem more relevant.

The Poe house itself has been on the brink for years now. That part of Baltimore is struggling and guests are not visiting. It is too bad. I wonder if the brewer is helping in any way.

A little background for those who might be interested. Back to our regularly scheduled program. :-)

In keeping with the Poe references, how about "Ligeia" -- the raven haired mistress who appears to rise from the dead?

I expect there will be a few Poe-esque names, so I'm going a different route with my own.
